Edmund Burke (12 January, 1729 – 9 July, 1797) was an Anglo-Irish statesman, who served for many years in the House of Commons. I am a supporter of his views as to voting by MP's in Parliament. They should vote their views not ours.
"Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays, instead of serving you, if he sacrifices it to your opinion."
At a recent candidates meeting one said he would canvass the views of his constituents and follow their views. Not my way of thinking - what say the majority wanted to do away with taxes!!
